She became painfully aware of how vulnerable children are at a young age (3-7 years), simply because they haven't yet developed a healthy and sustaining sense of self.

THE BEST WAY TO PROTECT
our children is to empower them
Let your child know that you adore them for being themselves
Let them know that their value as a person is not tied to their accomplishments
Let them know spending time with them makes you happy
Greet them with a big smile when they come home from school and tell them that you missed them
Support your children and help them find healthy ways of dealing with their emotions
Teach your child about empathy
Teach them that negative behaviour is never ok
Give your child a strong voice and teach them that they have the right to say “no”, that they have the right to set strong boundaries
As parents, we must be confident, stand strong and love ourselves.

She became painfully aware of how vulnerable children are at a young age (3-7 years), simply because they haven't yet developed a healthy and sustaining sense of self.
Working both as a nanny and as an ECE, she has enriched children's lives over the years, and now feels it is her calling to affect change on a broader scale by writing books, visiting classrooms and organizations to talk to parents, caregivers and teachers
who can guide children to a healthier sense of self.
Marita has created a program in which an ‘I Am Good Enough’ reader can visit the classrooms of young children where the book is read aloud to them. The result? Children walk away from their reading, understanding that they are perfect and good enough as they are, right now.
