Marita Nizam
The Author
Nizam Book Readers are carefully vetted and chosen for their hands-on classroom experience, early years education and love of children.
We are a registered agency with the Police Reference Check Program.
Marita Nizam is a Toronto-based mother, author, and Early Childhood Educator. Little Rabbit and the Grumpy Poos was written after witnessing how adversely impacted her two children were after they first began interacting with negative or non-supportive friends, classmates and people in general.
She became painfully aware of how vulnerable children are at a young age (3-7 years), simply because they haven't yet developed a healthy and sustaining sense of self.
Working both as a nanny and as an ECE, she has enriched children's lives over the years, and now feels it is her calling to affect change on a broader scale by writing books, visiting classrooms and organizations to talk to parents, caregivers and teachers who can guide children to a healthier sense of self.
Marita has created a program in which an ‘I Am Good Enough’ reader can visit the classrooms of young children where the book is read aloud to them. The result? Children walk away from their reading, understanding that they are perfect and good enough as they are, right now.
